Research Data Specialist

The Manufacturing Technology Centre is seeking a highly motivated Research Data Specialist to support one of its key research projects. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in collecting and analysing technical data, generating reports, and conducting result analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a pragmatic hands-on approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A basic understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office is essential for reporting technical information.
Main Responsibilities
- Collate trial data - Gather and summarise agreed data recorded during manufacturing trials.
- Conduct additional analysis of trial data using methods developed by researchers.
- Data reporting and analysis – Produce summaries of data collected using Microsoft packages and Python scripted tools.
- Embed HTRC and H&S culture within the team.

- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pragmatic hands-on approach to problem solving.
- Actively promotes and maintains a clean and tidy work environment.
- Able to deliver to tight timescales.
- Basic computer and Microsoft office use for reporting of technical information.
Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Python programming knowledge.
- Experience working in R&D environments.
- STEM based education.
- Full UK driving license.
