About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Crime Data Analyst to join our team at Hampshire County Council. In this role, you will work closely with our national policing unit to research and produce performance data for senior management.

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and producing performance data to support motor finance fraud, plant and agricultural theft, freight crime, and caravan security business areas within the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service.

You will provide an intelligence research function supporting colleagues in identifying and capturing intelligence opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and produce performance data to support senior management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Intelligence team to identify and capture intelligence opportunities.
  • Support the development of effective partnership working to prevent offences of motor finance fraud.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as criminology, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Experience in handling quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Proven experience of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to interpret information and to produce and deliver meaningful analysis.
