About the Role:

The Cambian Group is seeking an Instructor to join our team at the Mews School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students aged 11-18 who have suffered sexual trauma.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Headteacher and other team members to achieve the school's aims.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies.

Person Specification:

  • Understanding of teaching, learning, and qualifications.
  • Experience of working in non-mainstream settings with challenging learners.
  • Ability to empathise and support the development of learning.
  • Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent).
  • Excellent delivery and communication skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, adaptable, and possess the ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Good coordination and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of student achievement.
  • Innovative, fast thinking, and versatile.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office.
