About the Role:

The Cambian Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructor to join our team at the Mews School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to our students, ensuring their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Support the Executive Headteacher in achieving the school's aims and objectives.

Person Specification:

  • Understanding of teaching, learning, and qualifications.
  • Experience of working in non-mainstream settings with challenging learners.
  • Ability to empathise and support the development of learning.
  • Robust understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Ability to work as part of a small team.
  • Good general level of education (Teaching qualification, ideally hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English or equivalent).
  • Excellent delivery and communication skills.
  • Reliable, flexible, adaptable, and able to motivate and inspire.
  • Good coordination and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable track record of student achievement.
  • Innovative, fast thinking, and versatile.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office.
