Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Newtownards. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our CNC machines.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools, working within a rotating three-shift system. You will diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair CNC machine tools, including Fanuc and Siemens control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Work within a rotating three-shift system to meet business needs
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of experience working within a CNC Machine Tool environment
  • Time-served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, along with qualifications such as City and Guilds, ONC, HNC, or NVQ level-4 in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of machine repair, particularly with 5-axis CNC machine tools, and the ability to carry out geometric checks and machine adjustments
