Maintenance Technician Job Description

VickerStock is partnering with a leading supplier in the foodservice industry to recruit a Maintenance Technician. This role involves ensuring effective resolution of maintenance problems, fault finding, and breakdown repairs in line with the business' preventative maintenance plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as required.
  • Ensure all engineering maintenance work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Repair production equipment to current Company standards to optimize performance of production machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated machinery/equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a mechanical or electrical hands-on maintenance role.
  • Approved apprenticeship with relevant level 3 Mechanical/Electrical or Engineering Qualification.
  • Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment/machinery.
  • Understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience of fault-finding using wiring diagrams.
  • Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment.
  • A full, valid driving licence.
