About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our development team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality C/C++ code for Ring Devices at Amazon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystems
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues and teams on tough problems
  • Proactively communicating and demonstrating technical leadership

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development
  • Experience in development in the last 3 years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including competitive pension scheme, private healthcare, and generous holiday allowance.
