Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wholesale Merchandiser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of product development, production, and delivery for our Ready-to-Wear (RTW) collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all product development, production, and delivery for the RTW collections, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Sourcing sustainable fabrics and implementing sustainable policies for RTW collections, aligning with our company's values and mission.
- Schedule production and book capacity with all factories, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing lead times.
- Manage the RTW budget to ensure gross profit margins are achieved and profitability is maintained.
- Review sales on our e-commerce platform and propose reorders across the RTW collections, driving sales growth and revenue.
- On-board new factories as required, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality production.
- Conduct factory visits to manage factories and quality control, ensuring compliance with our standards and regulations.
- Manage the production process, including factory approvals, logistics, and delivery to our warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Communicate critical paths to factories and internally, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
- Ensure the sales team is kept up-to-date with any pricing changes, driving sales and revenue growth.
- Measure and fit all samples during the development process in collaboration with our designer, product development, and technical teams, ensuring high-quality products.
- Streamline current processes and working methods, driving efficiency and productivity.
Quality Control:
- Check through all RTW production coming in from suppliers, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Ensure all shipments are correct and compliant with our standards and regulations.
- Communicate any non-compliances with the factories, driving quality improvement and corrective actions.
- Monitor and improve quality, advising factories on best production methods and practices.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Wholesale Merchandiser in luxury fashion, with a strong understanding of technical packs for sampling and production.
- Ability to understand different sustainable fabric requirements for various product types.
- Confident in using Excel (creating and updating spreadsheets) and working with management software systems.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms beneficial.
- Experience: 3+ years.
- Organized, methodical, and confident with maintaining multiple critical paths.
- Creative thinker with a solution-led attitude.
- Knowledge of 'made to order' and project-based garment production beneficial.
- Menswear and Womenswear (multi-product) experience an advantage.
