Key Responsibilities- Surface Evaluation and Material Preparation
- Inspect carbon fibre panels for defects or imperfections.
- Assess the paintwork's condition, identifying areas with oxidation, fading, or damage.
- Inspect for visible scratches, swirl marks, or imperfections requiring special attention.
- Polishing
- Sand, buff panels to remove old paint, imperfections, or contaminants.
- Choose suitable polishing compounds and pads based on paint condition and desired correction level.
- SMART Repairs
- Evaluate minor dents, scratches, scuffs, chips, or bumper damage to determine the appropriate repair method.
- Surface Preparation - Clean and prep the damaged area by sanding, masking, and priming, ensuring it is ready for the repair process.
- Mix and apply paint to match the car's original colour, often using spot repair techniques to blend the paint seamlessly with the surrounding area.
- Use specialized tools and techniques to remove small dents without the need for repainting, known as Paintless Dent Removal (PDR).
