Myerscough College is seeking an accomplished Agricultural Engineer to lead our esteemed department, shaping the minds of future agricultural engineers and empowering them to make a lasting impact in the field.
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and visionary educator who can deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on workshops that foster innovation and problem-solving skills.
Your Responsibilities:
- Inspire and educate: Shape the minds of future agricultural engineers, delivering high-quality teaching and mentoring to help them develop into successful professionals.
- Cultivate practical skills: Design and implement practical training programs that equip students with hands-on experience in agricultural engineering techniques, including machinery operation, irrigation systems, automation, and data analysis.
- Mentor future leaders: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, nurturing their talents and empowering them to become leaders and change-makers in the agricultural engineering field.
- Collaborate and network: Engage in collaborative projects with colleagues, industry experts, and local farmers to enhance curriculum development, share knowledge, and stay at the forefront of advancements in agricultural engineering.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
- Proven industry experience in agricultural engineering, demonstrating expertise in precision farming, sustainable agriculture, automation, or related areas.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and technology used in agricultural engineering.
