We are looking for a skilled Contract Accounting Specialist to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting tasks while key members of the staff project manage the implementation.

The Contract Accounting Specialist will work closely with a team of specialists across the group, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation of regular monthly reports for Corporate Finance, Statutory purposes, and local management reporting
  2. Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities
  3. Management of the Annual Statutory Audit
  4. Cash flow analysis
  5. Monitoring relevance and accuracy of different sources of information
  6. Monthly closing of ledgers to ensure financial data accuracy
  7. Estimation of final Annual Operating Expense preparation at month-end
  8. Assistance in yearly budget preparation
  9. Management of internal expenses
  10. Liaison with external service providers and monitoring expenditure
  11. Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation
  12. Business partnership with commercial, supply chain, and other business and project managers to understand local business challenges and strategies
  13. Compliance with policies and procedures

Key qualifications include:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or qualified through ACCA, AAT
  2. Proven ability to understand key business drivers and translate them into meaningful reporting
  3. Demonstrated ability to use technology to improve processes and control
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  5. Flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity during the implementation phase

The estimated salary range for this position is £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
