The Lygon Arms, a 600-year-old coaching inn nestled in picturesque Broadway, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sous Chef to join its culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef who is passionate about delivering high-quality cuisine and providing exceptional leadership to our kitchen team. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in ensuring that all food preparation and dishes meet the company's standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Ensure that the correct and same ingredients are used as specified by the Head Chef to maintain quality.
  • Be passionate about assisting with the training, induction, and development of the kitchen brigade.
  • Control wastage and help maintain food costs.
  • Ensure the highest standards are maintained in food preparation and presentation.
  • Assist with the operation of various sections within the kitchen.
  • Develop a positive relationship between the Restaurant and the Kitchen, focusing on respect and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior or Sous Chef.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
