We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Childcare service. This role would suit a candidate with a strong background in junior leadership within residential care who is now looking for a new challenge.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of support workers, providing regular supervision and training, and supporting the leadership team as needed. You will also work directly with the children, being a positive role model to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Provide regular supervision and training to ensure the team is equipped to provide high-quality care.
- Support the leadership team in achieving the service's goals and objectives.
- Work directly with the children, building positive relationships and providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Take on administrative duties as required by the home's manager.
- At least two years' experience in a leadership role in a residential childcare environment.
- Relevant Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma.
- UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- High staff-to-child ratios and no agency staff.
- Comprehensive induction training.
- Regular in-house training for all staff to support their role.
- Funded professional qualifications, including Diploma Level 3 for Residential Childcare and Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
