Relief Catering Manager

Aspens Services Ltd is a leading contract catering company specializing in school food. We combine our understanding of the education sector with our knowledge of food trends to create innovative and exciting culinary experiences for students.
The RoleWe are seeking a Relief Chef Manager to support our catering facilities in schools within their region. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational and financial performance, delivering high-quality food and service, and driving sales through promotions and events.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop kitchen teams, ensuring excellent food and service standards.
- Support control of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs.
- Ensure consistency of food and service standards delivered to students and staff.
- Drive sales through monthly promotions and added-value events.
- Manage and improve controllable costs.
- Oversee menu development.
- Maintain company systems and procedures, and legislation.
- Carry out regular audits to ensure standards are met.
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. The ideal candidate will have:
- OND or HND qualification (advantageous but not essential).
- Driving license.
- Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets.
- Line management experience.
- Experience within a similar environment.
