Job Title: Adult Care Lawyer

The Ealing Council is seeking a skilled Adult Care Lawyer to join their team on a full-time fixed-term contract of 12 months. As a key member of the Adults and Public Health Directorate, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support to the Council and other public bodies.

About the Role:
  • Provide excellent legal service to the Council and other public bodies to the highest professional standards.
  • Support the Adults and Public Health Directorate in respect of social care and handle a caseload of complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement in the quality and cost-effectiveness of the service.
Requirements:
  • Be a qualified solicitor, barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
  • Have the ability to adopt a clear and systematic approach to problem-solving, including the ability to effectively research new law and policy and to apply that research to meet the needs of the client.
  • Have excellent knowledge and experience of adult social care law and practice.
  • Have excellent knowledge of adult social care legislation, regulations, and rules, including knowledge of imminent changes in legislation and guidance.
  • Have knowledge and experience of children law as it pertains to a child's transition to Adult Social Care.
