About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight and Trade Specialist to lead our policy efforts in this critical area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive forward our goals for logistics policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of logistics policy issues and trends, with a focus on road freight.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Directorate to develop and implement policies that support the interests of our members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders to advance our policy objectives.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate our policy positions and achievements.
Requirements
  • Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to demonstrate the company's core values: Excellence, Dynamism, Togetherness, and Reputation.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience working on environmental and sustainability issues, particularly in transport.
  • Policy experience in a relevant business area, agency, trade association, government department, or public body.
