Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced LGV Driver to join our team at Culina Group. As a key member of our transport department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Transport Coordinator at the start of shift and ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork.
- Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department and ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure.
- Make deliveries to customers' premises, acting in a professional manner at all times and ensuring proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery.
- Ensure regular communication with the Transport Office / Customer Services and observe and adhere to site procedures at each delivery point.
- Complete a defect report as and when required and achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business.
Requirements
- Possession of LGV Class C+E Licence and valid DCPC.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work without direct supervision.
- Adaptable and methodical approach to work/training and conscientious and reliable.
- Professional and approachable with excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Able to work using own initiative or as part of a team and knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers' hours.
