About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Workshop Technician to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mechanical Workshop Section, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and manufacture of medical and other devices for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and manufacture bespoke medical devices and equipment using conventional and CNC machine tools.
  • Work under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems to ensure high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with our team of engineers to solve complex mechanical engineering design problems.
  • Develop and maintain a wide range of equipment, including conventional and CNC machine tools, and CAD/CAM manufacturing capabilities.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in mechanical workshop/toolroom technology and the use of conventional and CNC machine tools.
  • Experience within a hospital mechanical workshop is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and ability to work under formal quality systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
