Job Title: General Cover Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Cover Teacher to join our team at Step Teachers. As a General Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting classes of well-behaved and enthusiastic pupils in Primary and Secondary schools in the Norfolk area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across various subjects, promoting principled, independent, and reflective lifelong learners.
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom environment, ensuring all associated resources are readily available.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, fostering a polite, friendly, and safe educational environment.
  • Assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and their reliable implementation.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Primary or Secondary education.
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a General Cover Teacher/teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary or Secondary curriculum.
  • Good level of classroom and behaviour management.
  • SEND experience is desirable.
