Job Title: General Cover Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Cover Teacher to join our team at Step Teachers. As a General Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for supporting classes of well-behaved and enthusiastic pupils in Primary and Secondary schools in the Norfolk area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across various subjects, ensuring a high level of student engagement and motivation.
  • Maintain a well-organised and professional classroom environment, with all associated resources readily available.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school, to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and procedures, and contribute to the implementation of these policies in a reliable and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Primary or Secondary education.
  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a General Cover Teacher/teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary or Secondary curriculum, with the ability to adapt to different teaching styles and approaches.
  • Good level of classroom and behaviour management, with the ability to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • SEND experience is desirable, but not essential.
