About the Role

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Major Gifts to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will be responsible for growing and exceeding our net income over the next five years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve annual targets and exceed them where possible
  • Lead and manage the Major Gifts team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes
  • Formulate and execute plans to secure major gifts and legacies from individuals, trusts, and foundations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, trustees, and other external partners
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a cohesive and effective fundraising approach
Requirements
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising, with a strong focus on major gifts and legacies
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • DBS clearance and the right to work in the UK
