Vulnerable Children Advocate Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vulnerable Children Advocate to join our team in Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. As a key member of our Children's Social Services department, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and leadership to qualified social workers and support workers tasked with assessment and care and support planning for vulnerable children.

About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for chairing complex meetings and supervision of staff, collating and recording performance and data information on the WCCIS system, and ensuring quarterly reporting requirements are met. Providing guidance and support to qualified social workers and support workers is essential to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Chairing complex meetings and supervision of staff.

  • Ensuring quarterly reporting requirements are met.
  • Providing guidance and support to qualified social workers and support workers.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales under the category of Social Care Managers / Social Workers.
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes is a requirement.

Salary and Benefits:
  • A competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
