The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our Board as a Trustee. The successful candidate will bring expertise in marine/environmental science research, finance, risk/compliance, and/or law. Additionally, they should have experience in building effective philanthropic/fundraising relationships and networks.

As a Trustee, you will play a vital role in guiding our strategic direction and ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of marine research. Your commitment to equality and diversity will be essential in fostering an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of our research strategy and ensure alignment with our mission.
  • Provide guidance on financial management, risk assessment, and compliance matters.
  • B build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors and partners.
  • Support the promotion of our research and values, highlighting the importance of the marine environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A background in marine/environmental science research or a related field.
  • Experience in finance, risk/compliance, and/or law.
  • Proven ability to build effective philanthropic/fundraising relationships and networks.
  • A strong commitment to equality and diversity.

What We Offer
