Reporting directly to the Business Development (BD) Manager, and on a day-to-day basis to the Chartering Manager (CM), the Chartering Assistant will deal with the spot market and other shorter-term sales opportunities and prospects.

The Chartering Assistant will also support the new business development and marketing functions. This is an exciting time to become a member of our growing team.

**Key duties include**:

- Dealing with entry point customer/ prospects and charter requests timeously and efficiently. These requests may be directly from customers or via a broker.
- Supporting with chartering active enquiries, offers and administration as directed by CM.
- Ensuring follow-up of opportunities and with customers. Facilitating information and reporting on chartering and business.
- Supporting business development and marketing activities.
- Support with updates of business development processes and procedures - admin and consistency.
- Supporting general marketing activities which may include admin tasks relating to exhibitions and trade shows.
- Admin relating to website and social media sites.

**Skills required include**: excellent interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication; office computer skills; the ability to identify, interpret and analyse information and being competent with numbers.

**Experience required include**: knowledge of marine, renewables, civils, aquaculture, O&G, salvage and diving would be helpful but not necessary as knowledge will be gained over time; ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced market - some out of hours contact may be required; and an ability to work on their own and as part of a team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
