Our premium Automotive client, based at Warwick University, is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join their Advanced Propulsion Research Laboratory (APRL). This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on projects across both Power Electronic and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) capable facilities.

Salary: £25.53 per hour

This position is a 4-month initial contract with potential for yearly renewal, and is classified as Inside IR35. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining test data structure, including automation scripts and control scripts for all test programs in the APRL test facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test data measurement systems for e-machine and inverter test applications
  • Develop and maintain test efficiency systems for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV)
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it operates effectively

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Prior experience as a Test Engineer in the automotive industry

Additional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data acquisition systems and instrumentation
  • Experience with CAN protocols and AVL Puma equipment
  • Ability to explain test methodologies and facility capabilities
