Job Overview
In partnership with a leading International Defence business, First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer to join their team based at their Gosport depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical and electronic training to students, assessing course work, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct Electrical & Electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.
• Assess student course work and provide feedback on performance.
• Be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
• Carry out equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.

Requirements:
• Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
• Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses with an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control and Waste Processing.
• Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years).
• Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses.
• Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 engineering in relevant subject matter.
• Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
