About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Electrical Trainer Specialist to join our team at our Gosport depot. As a specialist in electrical and electronic engineering, you will be responsible for delivering training to students in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.

  • To instruct electrical & electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.
  • To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance.
  • To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
  • To carry out equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
  • Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses with an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control and Waste Processing.
  • Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years).
  • Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses.
  • Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 engineering in relevant subject matter.
  • Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
