Audit Manager

ProTalent is partnering with a dynamic and innovative accountancy firm in MK to find a talented Audit Assistant Manager.
About the FirmThe firm is a fast-growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice that offers a challenging and rewarding work environment.
About the RoleThe Audit Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the onsite audit team, supervising junior team members, and liaising with senior client finance team members to ensure the assignment is completed as per the agreed terms.
Key Responsibilities- Review financial statements and prepare audit reporting for presentation to those charged with governance
- Attend planning and clearance meetings
- Ensure assurance quality at all times and compliance with the firm's procedures
- Report to the assignment manager and liaise directly with the director/partner responsible for the engagement
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, identifying any contentious issues and proposing solutions
- ACCA/ACA Qualified with at least 2-4 years PQE in practice
- At least 6 years' UK practice experience
- Previous experience operating at Audit Supervisor level
- Proven experience of producing high-quality audits
- Excellent client relationship skills
- Aptitude to assist with business development activities
- Highly commercial approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach, prepared to go the extra mile
- Strong IT skills
- Enjoy developing more junior staff
