Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to join our team at GCS Associates. As an Assistant Branch Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and overseeing our largest branch for the region, ensuring performance is sustained at its current level and optimized for continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee branch operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage and develop staff capabilities, identifying and addressing underperformance.
  • Authorize and collate weekly and monthly payroll information.
  • Ensure stock takes are completed fully and investigate material variances.
  • Maintain a high standard of tidiness and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Work with local councils and other agencies to prevent prohibitions notices.
  • Report incidents involving plant or company vehicles and follow necessary procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in a Builders' Merchant environment, either at local or national level.
  • Experience of the Builders Merchant trade, including Timber and General building.
  • Ability to work on special projects and provide out-of-hours support for alarm and CCTV providers.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
