Senior Director, International Patient Engagement, Northern Europe, Australia and Distributors

Vertex is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director, International Patient Engagement, Northern Europe, Australia and Distributors to lead our patient engagement efforts in the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with patients, patient organizations, and healthcare stakeholders to advance our company's goals and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Patient Engagement Strategies
Develop and implement comprehensive patient engagement strategies that align with Vertex's business objectives and improve patient outcomes. This includes identifying key patient stakeholders, developing relationships, and creating engaging content and programs.
Lead Patient Engagement TeamsLead a team of patient engagement professionals to develop and implement patient engagement strategies, programs, and initiatives. Provide guidance, support, and coaching to team members to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, market access, and communications, to ensure patient engagement strategies are aligned with business objectives and patient needs.
Develop and Manage BudgetsDevelop and manage budgets for patient engagement initiatives, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business objectives.
Represent Vertex at Industry EventsRepresent Vertex at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote patient engagement and advance Vertex's business objectives.
Requirements- Experience in Patient Engagement
Minimum 5 years of experience in patient engagement, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful patient engagement strategies.
Leadership ExperienceProven leadership experience, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and developing and implementing effective strategies.
Business AcumenStrong business acumen, with the ability to understand and align patient engagement strategies with business objectives.
Communication and Interpersonal SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients, patient organizations, and healthcare stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Pharmaceutical Industry Experience
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of patient engagement strategies and practices.
Therapeutic Area ExperienceExperience in rare diseases, with a strong understanding of patient needs and preferences.
Language SkillsFluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, patient organizations, and healthcare stakeholders.
