About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Penderels Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to a gentleman with cerebral palsy, who is a wheelchair user.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in caring for individuals with complex needs and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. They will be required to administer medication, handle hazardous substances, and ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

The role will involve supporting the individual with personal care, dressing, and getting ready to attend day centre. The Support Worker will also be responsible for pushing the wheelchair to the local bus stop to pick up day centre transport.

We are looking for someone who is honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. They will need to maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to the role, including Moving and Handling and First Aid.
