We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering and Operations to join our client, a reputable pharmaceutical company. **Key Responsibilities**

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction to the engineering team, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and mentor engineering staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Engineering Operations: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support business objectives.
  • Capital Expenditure: Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and make recommendations for investment in new equipment, technology upgrades, or facility expansions.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.

**Requirements**

  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on engineering and manufacturing operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements (e.g., cGMP, FDA, MHRA).
  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills and ability to manage senior stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies used in engineering/manufacturing.
  • Education: Either a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant practical work expertise in a similar position.
