We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Luton Council. As an HR Advisor, you will provide professional and specialist advisory and support services to senior managers and other clients on a full range of human resources and business support matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR advisory and support services to senior managers and other clients on a full range of human resources and business support matters.
  • Support the provision of training and development opportunities for employees.
  • Provide specialist HR advice and support that is consistent with Council and external employers' policies and procedures, employment law, best professional practice, and which meets statutory requirements and agreed service standards.
  • Work closely with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for organizational change initiatives and projects.
Requirements
  • Experience in a unionized personnel or HR environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret employee-related matters and data.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practice within HR.
  • Professionally qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development or equivalent level qualification.
