An Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our Haemodialysis team at Royal London, Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have delegated responsibility for the management of clinical areas within the haemodialysis units, including assessment of care needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of care, and the setting of standards of quality care.

Main Duties

  • Manage clinical areas within the haemodialysis units.
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Set standards of quality care.
  • Deputise for the senior sister/charge nurse in their absence.
  • Ensure continuity and high standards of care.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse.
  • Specialist course in Renal Medicine.
  • Intravenous accreditation.

Desirable Criteria

  • Preparation for Mentorship course or equivalent.
  • BSc or working towards management and leadership course.

Experience

  • Post registration experience demonstrable skills within an acute renal setting and Haemodialysis.

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Understanding of own Knowledge and Skills and ability to identify learning needs and interests of nursing team.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy, policy relating to haemodialysis.
  • Awareness of how to identify and reduce risks with regards to health and wellbeing.
