Job Description

We are seeking an Accommodation Operations and Activities Intern to support key residential planning tasks leading up to Summer Programmes. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our exciting social programme for our residential students.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will oversee rotations of students and seasonal staff for evening and premium weekend social activities.
  • Key responsibilities include stock-taking and implementing efficient resource management systems in our storage units, coordinating the movement of resources from storage units to venues, and acting as liaison between full-time and seasonal centre staff to support effective communication.
  • Supporting the integration of Centre Staff into the wider seasonal staff team is also a crucial aspect of this role.
  • The point of contact for queries regarding the social programme for centre staff, programme staff, and the full-time team will be managed by the Accommodation Operations and Activities Intern.

Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be an organised and detail-oriented university student or recent graduate looking to gain experience in events management and logistics.
  • Experience in organising live in-person events in fast-paced environments is essential.
  • A high level of vigilance when working with young or vulnerable people and a working knowledge of safeguarding for 15-18-year-olds are required.
  • Highly IT literate, with experience using Microsoft and Google Systems, is also necessary.

You will accrue Annual Leave throughout your internship at a standard rate (25 days per year pro-rated). Returning interns or those with additional responsibilities will be eligible for a higher salary band of £530 per week.
