We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Podiatrist to join our team as a Band 6 Community Podiatrist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality podiatry care to patients in community settings, working independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including vascular problems, diabetes, rheumatology, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Provide high-quality clinical care, including the management of high-risk patients, biomechanical/musculoskeletal conditions, and nail surgery.
- Work autonomously in community and acute settings, providing a high standard of quality clinical care and meeting the competencies for a Band 6 Podiatrist.
- Assess, manage, treat, educate, and train others, and help create pathways for complex caseloads with specialist leads.
- Collaborate with neurorehabilitation, rheumatology/orthopaedic consultants, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
- Podiatry professional qualification and registration with the Health Professions Council.
- Certificate in Local Anaesthesia and evidence of post-grad Continued Development.
- Experience of service delivery in acute and community settings, including working with high-risk caseloads.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, report writing, and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Organisational and planning skills to manage your own work time and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to deal professionally and objectively with distressing or uncomfortable situations.
