Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our innovative team at Warburtons. As a leading bakery brand, we have been baking bread since 1876 and are proud to supply over 18,000 retail customers from 11 bakeries and 16 depots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including bulk handling systems, processing and packaging, and site services.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with production, safety, and hygiene departments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects to increase plant efficiency, reduce downtime, and save energy and associated costs.
  • Develop and implement new ideas and perspectives to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of maintenance in a FMCG/ manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with H&S and Food Safety systems and legislation.
  • Ability to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Understanding of PLC and control systems (desirable but not essential).
  • Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent).
