Aspiring Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Academics Ltd. As an Aspiring Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with children and young people with complex needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviors.
- Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.
- Collaborate with Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors to provide a comprehensive support system for students.
- Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Approachable, and able to build robust and effective relationships with students.
- Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict.
- High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener.
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work.
- Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students.
- A competitive daily rate of £80-£90.
