About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Graduate to join our team as an Aspiring Clinical Psychologist / Autism Support Assistant at a reputable educational institution in the UK.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable children and young people with complex needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviors.
  • Work alongside teachers and specialist staff, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Counsellors.
  • Provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

  • Passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Approachable, and able to build robust and effective relationships with students.
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict.
  • High levels of empathy, caring, compassionate, and a good listener.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a professional approach to work.
