We are seeking an experienced Operations and Logistics Manager to join our team at Pact Coffee. As a key member of our Roastery team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient procedures to support our grocery and wholesale customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Third-Party Operations: Oversee the production of longer-life coffee products with third-party suppliers.
- Logistics Strategies: Develop and implement logistics plans to support new grocery and wholesale customer launches, maximizing business margins.
- Inventory Management: Minimize cash tied up in inventory for grocery and wholesale customers by optimizing minimum order quantities and product storage.
- Supply Chain Management: Source packaging suppliers in line with business requirements, managing communication between stakeholders and suppliers.
- Freight Forwarding: Manage third-party logistics freight forwarders for collection and delivery into grocery and wholesalers.
- Source New Products: Identify and source new hardware products in line with product briefs, negotiating costs and understanding supplier capabilities.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality products.
- Packaging Development: Select packaging suppliers to go out to tender for new packaging requirements, managing the process from design to production.
- Continuous Improvement: Review and improve the packaging range to maximize box fill, minimize waste, and enhance customer experience.
- Logistics Planning: Plan and own the logistics and operations schedule for seasonal events and promotional activities.
- Seasonal Product Sourcing: Source required seasonal and promotional products within business margin targets.
- At least three to five years of experience in operations management, project management, or similar roles.
- Good data analysis, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to create and deliver robust plans, with determination to accomplish goals.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction.
- Supplier relationship management, procurement, and negotiation.
