About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Philanthropy and Partnerships Team Leader to join our team at Webrecruit. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a pivotal role in securing major gifts that directly fund essential services and life-changing missions around the world.
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will lead a team of Relationship Managers to build strong relationships with key donors and secure major funding to support our client's mission.
Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a major gifts strategy, set clear targets, and manage an annual budget to ensure growth in income.
Additionally, you will manage a portfolio of high-level donors, including institutional funders, to secure substantial gifts, and work collaboratively with the CEO, Trustees, and other stakeholders to cultivate new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Relationship Managers to build strong relationships with key donors
- Develop and execute a major gifts strategy to secure significant funding
- Manage a portfolio of high-level donors to secure substantial gifts
- Collaborate with the CEO, Trustees, and other stakeholders to cultivate new opportunities
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience of fundraising from generous individuals and trusts
- Experience building effective long-term relationships and influencing with Major Donors
- Experience leading a successful team and working at a strategic level
- Knowledge of philanthropy in the UK and trends in the sector
- Knowledge of budget preparation and control
- An understanding of the provisions of GDPR legislation and the implications for fundraising
- To be educated to degree level
