Job Overview

As a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our Paediatric Nephrology department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to children with renal disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical guidelines, protocols, and policies.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff, including medical students, junior doctors, and nurses.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of Paediatric Nephrology.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care for patients.

Requirements
  • Eligibility for GMC specialist registration with a Licence to Practice.
  • MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent qualification.
  • CCT/CCST in Paediatric Nephrology or equivalent training and experience.
  • Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training and Basic Life Support Training.
Desirable Criteria
  • Higher degree – PhD, MD or equivalent.
  • Research/publications in Paediatric Nephrology.
  • Formal teaching qualification.
  • Leadership qualification.
