About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon UK Services Ltd. as a Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in workplace safety and health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of health and safety professionals to ensure compliance with local legislation and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and implement effective control measures.
  • Develop and implement health and safety training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.

Our team is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees across Amazon UK Services Ltd. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that is passionate about creating a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements
  • Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies is desirable.
  • Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
