Job Opportunity: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a large ambient food manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping and working collaboratively with the Planning Department to ensure seamless machine performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain machine performance to optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Department to negotiate machine availability and schedule maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and address equipment failures to minimize downtime.
  • Support external contractors and ensure a smooth working relationship.
  • Adopt a clean-as-you-go policy to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Work with a mix of new and old equipment in a fully automated factory.
  • Join a settled engineering team of 40+ with a good balance of electrical and mechanical skills.

Requirements:
Ideally, you will hold a minimum of HNC/NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline and have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training program in installation and maintenance. You will also have relevant practical experience in the field.
