Hermeneutic Investments is a rapidly growing crypto hedge fund, managing a 9-figure AUM, generating 200%+ annualized returns with a 4 Sharpe. Our Systematic Trading arm is seeking an experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead and grow the current team.

We are looking for a seasoned technology leader who can architect the technology team and systems to scale with the goals of the business over the short and long-term. Key responsibilities include:

  • Crypto/Digital Asset trading
  • Implementing process-driven frameworks for engineers to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple projects with varying complexities and timelines.
  • Buidling and maintaining an environment where the company's technology team culture flourishes - encouraging open technical dialog between engineers, enhancing business partnerships, continuously improving technical systems, and adopting modern-day technology best practices.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience at a top-tier Quant Trading firm as a hands-on engineer encompassing everything from design to development and monitoring of historical and real-time systems which are high-availability and fault-tolerant.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a technology team leader at a top-tier technology or trading firm, building and leading talented technical teams of at least 5-10 people.
  • Bilingual Mandarin/English fluency is preferred given the location of the team (Taipei).
  • Proven success in establishing and achieving key technology milestones, short and long term priorities, and ability to shift direction in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range:$250,000 - $400,000 per year depending on experience.
