Job Summary
A fulfilling opportunity exists for a highly motivated Special Needs Assistant to join our primary school in Tower Hamlets. This role is perfect for an individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

As a Special Needs Assistant, you will be part of a dedicated team working alongside qualified SEND professionals and specialist teachers to create a nurturing environment where all children can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have a First-Class or 2:1 Psychology degree from a Top 20 UK University and experience working with children with SEN. In-house and external training will be provided to further develop your skill set.

This full-time term-time only position offers a competitive salary of £20,800 - £25,700 per annum (£400-£500 per week) paid on a weekly PAYE basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support small groups of students and on a 1:1 basis to help them engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Encourage independence and confidence in students, both academically and socially.
- Assist with sensory and behavior management strategies to create a calm and structured learning environment.
- Support students with autism in managing daily routines, including personal care, leisure activities, and educational tasks.
