About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Technical Officer to join our team at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that all medical devices comply with the latest healthcare regulations and standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any issues related to medical device compliance.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in medical device sterilization and reprocessing procedures.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on quality assurance and compliance procedures.

Requirements

  • Medically cleared by Occupational Health as fit to undertake the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Basic keyboard skills and adequate level of education to perform in the role.
  • Desirable: GCSE Maths and English, Apprenticeship - Decontamination, NHS National Decontamination Training Programme, previous NHS experience, and experience of working in a Decontamination Service.
