Job Summary

Zenith People is seeking a highly skilled Engineering/Maintenance Team Leader to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a team of shift engineers to achieve the smooth operation of a busy plant.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. They will be confident in their technical abilities and have a flexible approach to working across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and maintain focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure delivery and cost efficiency.
  2. Consistently report all activities, including breakdown repairs, to ensure accurate records.
  3. Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for repetitive breakdowns or significant losses to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  4. Target the completion of 100% of planned maintenance (PMs), utilizing forward thinking to schedule maintenance whenever possible.
  5. Provide an engineering function that delivers 85% OEE on site.
  6. Review and allocate workload between multi-skilled engineers on shift.
  7. Liaise with shift managers, product leads, and other stakeholders to ensure proactive management of the production plan and any issues that arise.
  8. Make informed decisions based on available information and tools, in collaboration with operations and engineering teams.
  9. Ensure thorough technical handovers between shifts.
  10. Complete daily downtime sheets, shift or downtime books, and maintenance records.
  11. Accurately record history in the maintenance system and engineering shift report.
  12. Complete service sheets and adhere to daily and weekend plans.
Requirements
  1. A relevant electrical trade qualification or diploma.
  2. Experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong troubleshooting and technical abilities.
  4. A positive mindset with a flexible approach to change.
  5. Experience with PLC, HMI, and Scada controlled systems is desirable but not essential.
