The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. They will be confident in their technical abilities and have a flexible approach to working across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performance Monitoring: Review and maintain focus on key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure delivery and cost efficiency.
  2. Reporting and Documentation: Consistently report all activities, including breakdown repairs, and maintain accurate records.
  3. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analyses for repetitive breakdowns or significant losses to overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  4. Maintenance Planning: Target the completion of 100% of planned maintenance tasks, utilizing forward-thinking strategies to optimize maintenance schedules.
  5. Engineering Function: Provide an engineering function that delivers 85% OEE on site.
  6. Workload Allocation: Review and allocate workload between multi-skilled engineers on shift.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with shift managers, product leads, and other stakeholders to ensure proactive management of production plans, issues, and access to machines.
  8. Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on available information, tools, and discussions with operations and engineering teams.
  9. Technical Handover: Ensure thorough technical handovers between shifts.
  10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of downtime, maintenance activities, and engineering shift reports.
  11. Service Delivery: Ensure correct completion of service sheets and adherence to daily and weekend plans.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: A relevant electrical trade qualification or diploma.
  2. Experience: Experience within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and technical abilities.
  4. Personal Qualities: Positive mindset, flexible approach, and ability to adapt to change.
  5. Desirable Skills: Experience with PLC, HMI, and Scada controlled systems.
