Key Responsibilities
  • Support the nursery manager in leading and managing the nursery team, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, working closely with colleagues to plan and implement engaging activities and experiences.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Support and mentor staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they have the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality care and education.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
  • Current First Aid and Safeguarding certificates, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
